Spicy Black Bean Dip

Ingredients
  • 2 14 oz cans of black beans, rinsed and drained
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño (remove seeds for less spice, or leave them in!)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • ¼ medium onion
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp salt (more to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese (optional, will help tame the spice a bit)
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor, and blend until smooth! Serve with chips or crackers.
