The Kitchen Paper

Happy happy weekend! I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend — we most certainly are! We’ve spent a few days over on the coast at my mom’s beach house. The house has plenty of windows overlooking the mouth of the Columbia River as it enters the Pacific, which makes sunsets (and general gazing) really fun. We’re getting work done, doing lots of yoga, running, exploring the area, and visiting with family. What a wonderful weekend! I’m so grateful for the beauty and love we’re seeing in our final few weeks at home before shipping out to Asia again… this world is an amazing place! What you grateful for this weekend?

Here’s what I found on the interwebs this week that made me drool!

  • You KNOW I love pumpkin waffles, and these have some killer toppings, too!
  • Joy made some cinnamon-sugar popovers that make me want to move to NOLA and live with her. Forever.
  • These brown butter doughnuts are SO DARN BEAUTIFUL!
  • PUMPKIN SPICED APPLE PIE!??! Is this real life?! This is fall on steroids.
  • These pumpkin spice latte macarons are GORGEOUS! Fall being classy!
  • Comfort food at it’s finest: quick red lentil and spinach curry!
  • Hummus + shakshuka. Where’s my shovel?
  • Tracy made us breakfast!! Pumpkin spice FRENCH TOAST!
  • Pizza with butternut squash, cider caramelized onions (!!), and bacon. I’m sold!
  • Beautiful vanilla glazed raspberry scones! YUM!
  • I love this idea: sweet potato noodles! Yes yes yes!
  • What a great idea for using up green tomatoes (other than frying!) — pickle them!
  • Laura made an amazingly beautiful pavlova with raspberry curd and vanilla whipped cream!
  • Ohoho. Candy bar fudge? Somebody go get me some sweatpants, ASAP!
  • Still have herbs growing? Preserve them in olive oil before a frost hits!
  • Dessert for breakfast. AKA brownie oats. I fully support this! {and it’s vegan!}
  • Pumpkin pie spice popcorn! Why didn’t I think of that?? Somebody put on a movie, STAT!

Did you find anything awesome this week? Please share it with us in the comments below!
